Grade: 9/10 | Pinot noir, vin nature, 9 months wood aging; lots of color for pinot noir from Alsace, clear aromas: pinot, slightly manure/stylish, very youthful, very pleasant palate, beautiful fruit, fine spiciness, excellent minerals, fresh and elegant, balanced, great finesse, delicious glass of wine (13.5%).
About the Wine Maker
Back in the 90s, Charles Brand was one of the first to start biodynamic viticulture. His son, Philippe, has extended this to the cellar, where natural wine is made according to the SAINS philosophy: a method in which nothing is added to the wine.
In addition, Philippe also buys and trades grapes that grow outside the Alsace. The Brand & Fils methods, especially in combination with non-local grapes, have resulted in unique wines; explosions of flavours that you must try.
