Tasting Notes
The Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs is an excellent champagne with nice white fruit tones (peach, pear, citron) and fresh almonds. Very floral on the nose.
The vines are rooted in chalk, with an exceptional micro climate and a remarkable exposition, this is a high-end champagne much sought after by wine connoisseurs. The vineyard, 3.50 hectares large, of Lilbert is exclusively planted with Chardonnay and is mainly situated in Cramant, but also in two neighboring villages also classified as 100% Grand Crus: Chouilly and Oiry.
This champagne is available in demi (half) bottle, regular bottle and magnum.
About the Wine Maker
Lilbert Fils, champagne grower/makers since 5 generations, is situated in the village Cramant in the Côte des Blancs, one of the designated areas where Grand Cru champagnes of 100% Chardonnay are made.
With the love of the profession and experience for 5 generations now, Lilbert makes champagne in the purest tradition: pressing, fermentation, wine maturation in tanks, assembly, commissioning bottles, bottle aging in our cellar and disgorging ‘à la volée’ (the old way, without freezing the top part of the bottle).
