Tasting Notes
With lively raspberry, cherry and alpine strawberry notes, the wine has a silky texture and fine, long finish. There are some intriguing smokey notes, with echoes of coffee and caramel. 2018 was a warm year and the ripeness of the fruit is evident.
About the Wine Maker
Laurent Fournier is one of the better known winemakers in Marsannay, and an initiator of Les Aligoteurs; a group of young and talented winemakers who have revived the Aligote grape. He treats the vineyards biodynamically and uses gravity in winemaking to avoid any mechanical pressing. He also uses large barrels of Austrian oak, which suits his elegant, full-bodied and very fruity style of winemaking.
