About the wine maker
For over 5 generations the Lamothe family has been making wine. Currently the brothers Hervé and Patrick Lamothe run the company. Naturally, everyone found his place in the field: Hervé at the cellar and Patrick at the vineyard management and marketing. Based in Preignac, in the Sauternes area, they produce among others Haut Bergeron, a very classic Sauternes from vineyards bordering those of Chateau d’Yquem. They also produce white and red Graves wine.
Conversion to bio
From 2006 the switch has been made to sustainable farming and currently the domaine is working on conversion to biological, after which the AB (Agriculture Biologique) label can be earned.
