Tasting Notes
Literally: a round. With Viognier and Vermentino you expect a fat and creamy wine, but this one is surprisingly fresh.
The vines for this wine are located on clay and calcarous hillsides, in the Herauld and Gard area, in the Languedoc in the south of France.
About the Wine Maker
Basement Finds! Some winemakers have hidden corners in the cellar containing wines that are unlikely to have been kept for that long. But under these ideal conditions apparently 'simple' wines can also last 30+ years. Don't expect ultimate complexity, but a fair glass of Burgundy with a nice age for a bargain price instead.
