Tasting Notes
A Demi Sec sparkling Jurançon by Methode Traditionelle.
Clear, pale, shiny silvery-gold colour. The nose offers a complex array of freshly-cut lime, orange peel and hay aromas, delightfully prickly and with an almost palpable minerally, smoky depth - a fabulous nose! Hints of peach/apricot add just a suggestion of richness, which manifests itself on the palate in a generous way. Delightfully concentrated and intense, yet wonderfully fresh and mouth-watering.
About the Wine Maker
Domaine de Montesquiou is a small family estate, run by Fabrice and Sébastien Montesquiou. They work with a biodynamic approach, only using with native grapes. Sulfite use is kept to the absolute minimum or even completely disregarded. Montesquiou makes expressive wines, full of fruit, with very broad acidity and with a gastronomic style.
