Tasting Notes
This 100% Sauvignon white, which comes from this multitude of terroirs, offers a wonderful diversity of aromas. Its brilliant and luminous color, pale yellow color with golden reflections, opens with an intense and pleasant nose that combines the scents of citrus fruits (grapefruit) with those of exotic fruits (mango, passion).
On the palate, a smooth attack offers a fleshy substance, a sensation of sweetness, a lot of "fat", balance, as well as fruity aromas (peach, lemon) that persist in a long and harmonious finish.
About the Wine Maker
Emmanuelle Mellot, daughter of famous winemaker Alphonse, takes her first steps in the world of wine vinification with her label 'Vins d'Emmanuelle'. Unlike her father's wines, Emmanuelle's wines have a very floral style, ripe fruit and enough tension.
Terroir
Kimmeridgian marl, hard limestone and flint.
Vineyard
The average age of the vines is 20 years.
Harvest, vinification and ageing
Mechanical harvest, after which the grapes are softly pressed. Aging on fine lees for 6 months. (2/3 on feed, 1/3 on barrel). The wine is then racked in stainless steel tanks for 2 to 3 months.
