Tasting Notes
Dujac’s signature is an intensity and saturating complexity. Yet there’s an ethereal dimension that’s simply haunting – the perfume and whispering complexity of Dujac’s wines separate them from the pack. The 2014 vintage really flaunts Dujac’s earthy and textural elements. The Morey has an explosive cast of aromatics and energetic lift. There’s a dazzling array of the red fruits, spice, minerals, earth, and floral notes. Dujac’s wines function at a very elite level and you don’t have to look any further than the Morey. Few village wines deliver a similar refinement and complexity. Think of examples from Mugneret-Gibourg, Fourrier, Roumier, etc. Just like the others, Dujac’s Morey is never around in large quantities and always disappears quickly.
89-91 Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A discreet application of wood serves as a neutral backdrop for the dark berry fruit and earth scents. The rich, suave and appealingly energetic middle weight flavors possess fine volume while delivering solid depth and length on the relatively robust and firm finale. Patience."
88-90 Stephen Tanzer - Vinous Media: "Musky aromas of black cherry, brown spices and smoky soil tones; more aromatic today than the Chambolle villages. Sweet and harmonious but also juicy and firmly built, showing more flavor definition than the Chambolle. Finishes with good spine and persistence."

About the Wine Maker
Domaine Dujac is a Burgundy wine producer run by the Seysses family. The founder, Jacques Seysses, is still involved in its operation. His sons, Jeremy and Alec, and Jeremy's wife Diana have run the domaine for the past several vintages.
In 2000 Jeremy and Jacques launched a new venture that redefined the role of the négociant. Under the name Dujac Fils et Père, the son/father team established partnerships with some of the top growers in Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny.
The resulting Dujac Fils et Père wines are among the best that Burgundy has to offer. Each wine is made with the same care and attention that the family lavishes on their Domaine Dujac bottlings. Nearly all come from old vines with Jeremy and Jacques controlling the farming methods, yields and harvesting dates. Once at the winery the grapes are crushed, fermented, aged in 50%-new French oak barrels and bottled without filtration whenever possible. As with Dujac’s estate offerings, the essence of these wines is in the pure, accurate, unadulterated presentation of each individual terroir.
