Tasting Notes
The Gevrey Chambertin Vieille Vignes, made from grapes of old vines, displays lots of character and structure. It is clearly a notch up from his Bourgogne Pinot Noir. The wine looks light when looking at it in your glass. But don’t be fooled, when you taste it you get an explosion of flavors in your mouth: freshness from strawberry and cassis fruits, combined with a nice acidity and minerality, and a long pleasant finish.
About the Wine Maker
Hervé Kerlann has made a name for himself by representing many famous wineries in Asia. Since the start of the millennium, he has also been making his own wines. He has 2 ranges. Firstly, Vins d'Audace; wines with guts that stand out for their expression and excellent price-quality ratio. Secondly, Vins de Terroir, from Village and Premier Cru vineyards, in which Hervé is letting the respective terroirs speak.
