One of the Best wines from Côtes du Roussillon
Seduced by the quality from the terroirs of this region of France, Jean-Luc Thunevin decided to create a partnership with Jean-Roger Calvet and buy a few hectares of vineyards in 2000. These vineyards are located in Maury with beautiful terroir of black schists. The Constance cuvée was created in 2003 and became one of the best ‘ vin de pays des Côtes Catalanes’ which is now upgraded to Côtes du Roussillon Villages.
Fresh Rosé de Saignée
This rosé de saignée from the Cotes de Roussillon is made from 30% Grenache and 70% Syrah from vines between 10 and 60 years old. The terroir for both grapes is different: granite for the Syrah and schists for the Grenache. The yields, especially for this region, can be called low with 25hl per hectare. The grapes are harvested by hand, with fermentation and ageing for 7 months in stainless steel tanks.
Low in alcohol
The wine has an open aroma of red fruits with nice freshness in the mouth. Low in alcohol, which makes it ideally suited as an aperitif wine or to accompany light meals, salads or charcuterie.
