This wine is made by top producer Bernard Magrez, known as wine guru and owner of the world renowned Chateau Pape Clément in Bordeaux. His wines are characterized by a combination of power and elegance. He achieves this by a rigorous selection of the grapes, and by letting the wine mature in French oak vats for 18 months. Because of the low vine density in the vineyard, combined with the climate, there is hardly any need for spraying against diseases. This gives the wine a very natural character.
The wine is made out of 100% Tinta de Toro, more commonly known as Tempranillo. Because the wine is actually made in a Bordeaux fashion, Magrez decided to stow away the wines in his cellars for a long time after bottling. Currently the wine has reached a nice age and the 2006 vintage has just been released to the market. Give the wine some air before drinking and it will fully open up!

Incredible for the price! Oak and lots of dark fruit. Full, so much flavor and very smooth.
