Tasting Notes
A bouillabaisse of bright red iron, silty clay loam basalt. Rock-Sandy rather than stony, Worden Hill was formed by a landslide of volcanic rock that weathered in place and is now just a couple of thousand years from becoming all top soil. The wine has red and blue fruit flavors from edge to edge with noticeable but thin high tension threads holding it all together in a seamless web. 242 cases produced.
About the Wine Maker
Rose and Arrow Estate wines are a philosophy turned into a project involving some of the world's most talented people in the viticulture and oenology. Meticulous study and development of the terroir by Pedro Parra, bio-dynamic viticulture combined with the winemaking expertise of Bourgogne hot-shot Louis-Michel Liger-Belair resulted in some of the most exciting and outstanding wines made in the USA. After years of experimentation and improvements, 2017 is the first vintage that Rose and Arrow has been made available outside the USA. Each of The seven cuvées are singlular and expressive, eachwith their own character, specific structure and minerality.
