From the beautiful Côtes Brunes terroir with clay-limestone and mica schist soils from due south facing steep slopes, the vine stocks comprise of 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier.
Yields are limited to 25 hectoliters per hectare, and selecting only the ripest berries. After that the grapes are vinified for 26 days in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. After that the wine is aged in new oak barrels for 30 months, with only the finest wood from Bourgogne selected to preserve the expressions of the terroir and to produce wine of outstanding quality.
This all results in a wine with deep violet color, very complex, with blackcurrant, peppery spice and graphite aromas. Powerful but elegant on the palate and a very fine finish with finesse.
