Sabine Drode has owned this vineyard since 2000 and has the objective of making the best wine possible worthy of any table. The vineyards of Chateau de Rivereau are located roughly 30 kilometer above Bordeaux and have a gravelly and clayey sandy terroir.
This red wine consists of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. After harvest, it is fermented in stainless steel tanks, and then aged in concrete tanks, thus preserving the fruit in the most natural way.
The wine was awarded GOLD MEDAL at Concours de Macon in 2013. This 2012 is well done, purple blue with light roasted hints, pepper and fruit. Round attack, supple, solid structure with attracting tannins, fruity and a long finish.
